Update-related news

I’m currently on break from updating Karaoke Heavens on meme, and though I just got back into the spirit of things wrt writing chapter 21, it’s going to take a while before I finish the story. I’m also just like, stressed in general and mildly regretting the schedule I committed to for updating the story on AO3, ScribbleHub etc, so, uh, I’m going to blow apart the schedule during my break 😅

Basically, I’ll update the story on all three platforms so it matches what I’ve posted on meme. This will probably happen on or around the next usual update day, aka Wednesday. Then I’ll get back to posting on meme every couple posts, just with the change that as soon as I’m happy with a chapter, I’ll stick it up on the archives.

As for the other two stories I’m currently working on, they certainly haven’t been forgotten. I feel like I blew my wad too early with Unconventional instructor, I’m having structural woes with chapter 5 and trying and failing to figure out a good note to end it on. And though I’m still massively excited to write more Rin-Rin (and behind on AO3 by a chapter T_T) I’m also like, torn between continue to write by the seat of my pants for it and… okay I’m probably going to continue that, I just need a moment or two to let the guilt over that pass on 😉

TL:DR; summary of this post:

Rin-Rin updated again

New chapter is here at AO3. I’m having dumb anxiety issues about how long/short chapters are since I usually stick them up on meme first before archiving them, but there’s no help for it, it looks like around 2k is where this story’s chapters want to be at.

Also I’m rewriting some of the stuff I’ve already clubbed together for the next couple chapters, because apparently Zetsu and the weird demonic statue thingie are more OP than I thought, and need to be crushed with care 😉

Rin-Rin chapter 5 up

Random side thought: I kind of feel I should maybe try crossposting a bit? This story in particular, and maybe one or two of my less explicit fics, would likely be a good fit for FF.net. Food for thought I guess.

Unconventional instructor chapter 4, reporting for filthy duty. Chapter 5 is like, halfway done, just needs to be polished and expanded a bit.

Rin-Rin chapter 4 is due next, just taking a bit of time to finish editing. Will likely end up posting it tomorrow if I can’t manage to get it out today.

Unconventional update + new story

So I forgot to post when I updated Unconventional instructor last night. That new chapter is here.

Second update is this little cracktastic SI/OC Naruto fic, Who’s Afraid of Rin-Rin, spawned by my wondering how things would look if the poor OFC that got dropped into the Narutoverse was maybe the last person Madara would ever have gifted the Sanbi if he knew what was really up with her. Updates for this will go on meme first whenever I have them, and then get shoved onto AO3 afterwards.

New side story for the Unconventional series

It really was supposed to be a drabble, a brief 200-400 word thing. But I couldn’t not expand on the thoughts I was having about what Fugaku’s close-mouthed pining over Minato would have looked like, so here is Unconventional love, the least porny part of this weird series by a long shot.

Also just got to the point in part 3 that I’ve realized I miscounted the chapter length for this fic, just like the last one. There will be a part 4. So the chapter count on AO3 is gonna be a question mark for now, as it should probably have been from the beginning, orz.

Unconventional training sorta sequel

Just posted the first chapter of Unconventional instructor on AO3, because I couldn’t help myself. I’m sure someone out there was dying to read Itachi’s take on what happened; now, o dear someone, you will have it.

Updates will come pretty much whenever I want. I don’t know how many chapters it’ll end up having, but I’m already working on the second one, and know I have enough material for at least a third. Much of what happens is just a new perspective on the goings on in Unconventional training, but I have been doing my best to sneak new scenes in.
